When is the best time for engagement photos in Ohio? The answer is simple.
First things first, I’m going to say something that isn’t exactly controversial nor is it earth-shattering.
Fall is the absolute best time of year to get your engagement session done.
Ever since the first time I edited a photo, I have always been enamored by the color palette that fall brings. I have always edited on the warm side too. There is just something about the deep hues of orange, yellow, red and magenta that has always caught my eye.
However, there are other important reasons why fall is an awesome time to book a session.
“GOLDEN HOUR”
Ask any photographer and they’ll tell you “golden hour” is the preferred time window for a beautiful session. In the summer, that golden hour can stretch deep into the “night” and sometimes not end until 9 o’clock. During the fall, that peak window is closer to 6 and 7 o’clock in the evening. It’s a perfect excuse to get some awesome photos and grab a romantic dinner with your significant other afterward.
WEATHER
Secondly, the weather lends itself to wardrobe selections of all kinds. If you have that little black dress you want to wear, the contrast in color will be phenomenal. If you’re daring enough to wear white after Labor Day, that too looks awesome when put up against the changing colors of the leaves.
Check out some of the highlights from some of my clients’ engagement sessions from this season and you’ll know without a doubt that fall is the best time to book a session. A couple of my favorite wedding films also came during the fall season!
